# How to Log In to Fanbase

Getting started on Fanbase takes just a few seconds. You can sign up with your email, connect an existing crypto wallet, or use social login.

The Fanbase login modal offers multiple ways to sign in

## Option 1: Email Signup (Recommended for Beginners)

The easiest way to get started if you're new to crypto.

### Steps

1. **Go to Fanbase.com** and click the "Log In" button
2. **Enter your email address** in the login modal
3. **Check your inbox** for a verification code
4. **Enter the code** to complete verification
5. **You're in!** A crypto wallet is automatically created for you

### What Happens Next

When you sign up with email:

- A secure crypto wallet is created for you automatically
- Your wallet is protected by Dynamic, our authentication partner
- You can export your private key from the Manage dialog under Account & Security
- No crypto knowledge required to get started

## Option 2: Connect an Existing Wallet

If you already have a crypto wallet, connect it directly.

### Supported Wallets

**Browser Extensions:**

- MetaMask
- Coinbase Wallet
- Rainbow
- Rabby

**Mobile Wallets:**

- Trust Wallet
- Phantom (Solana)
- Coinbase Wallet

**WalletConnect:** Any wallet that supports WalletConnect protocol

### Steps

1. **Go to Fanbase.com** and click "Log In"
2. **Select your wallet type** from the options shown
3. **Approve the connection** in your wallet (a popup will appear)
4. **Sign the verification message** (this proves you own the wallet)
5. **You're connected!** Your wallet is now linked to your Fanbase account

### Tips for Wallet Connection

- Make sure your wallet browser extension is unlocked
- Check that you're on the correct network (Ethereum, Base, or Solana)
- If using mobile, ensure your wallet app is open

## Option 3: Social Login

Connect using your existing Google account.

### Steps

1. **Click "Log In"** on Fanbase.com
2. **Select Google**
3. **Authorize Fanbase** in the popup window
4. **Complete any additional verification** if prompted
5. **Done!** A wallet is created for you automatically

## Multi-Chain Wallets

Fanbase supports multiple blockchain networks. Depending on how you sign up:

### EVM Chains (Ethereum & Base)

- Connect with MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or Rainbow
- Same wallet address works on both Ethereum and Base
- Switch networks in your wallet to transact on different chains

### Solana

- Connect with Phantom or other Solana wallets
- Separate wallet address from EVM chains
- Ideal for fast, low-cost transactions

### Using Both

You can connect wallets on multiple chains to the same Fanbase account:

1. Log in with your primary wallet
2. Go to Settings > Wallet
3. Connect additional wallets on other chains
4. Set your preferred receiving wallet for each network

## Troubleshooting

### "Wallet not detected"

- Ensure your wallet extension is installed and enabled
- Try refreshing the page
- Check if your wallet is unlocked

### "Connection rejected"

- You may have dismissed the wallet popup too quickly
- Try the connection again and approve when prompted

### "Wrong network"

- Switch to a supported network in your wallet
- Fanbase supports Ethereum, Base, and Solana

### Verification code not received

- Check your spam folder
- Ensure you entered your email correctly
- Try requesting a new code

### Mobile wallet issues

- Ensure your wallet app is open in the background
- Try using WalletConnect QR code if direct connection fails
- Check that your wallet app is up to date

## Security Tips

### Protect Your Account

- **Use a strong email password** if signing up with email
- **Enable 2FA** on your email and any connected wallets
- **Never share your seed phrase** with anyone
- **Verify the URL** — always ensure you're on fanbase.com

### Recognize Phishing

- Fanbase will never ask for your private keys or seed phrase
- We will never DM you asking for wallet access
- Always check the URL before entering any information

## After Logging In

Once you're logged in, you can:

- **Complete your profile** — Add a username, bio, and profile picture
- **Add funds** — Transfer crypto to your wallet to support creators
- **Start creating** — Post content and set prices for premium access
- **Explore** — Find creators to follow and support
