# How to Deposit Crypto on Fanbase

To unlock content or send tips on Fanbase, you need cryptocurrency in your wallet. This guide covers how to get funds into your account.

## Before You Start

Make sure you have:

- A Fanbase account (see [How to Log In](/content/guides/how-to-login/index.html))
- Crypto in an exchange or external wallet to transfer
- Knowledge of which network you want to use (Base, Ethereum, or Solana)

## Supported Tokens

Fanbase supports the following tokens across all networks:

- **USDC** — USD Coin (available on Base, Ethereum, and Solana)
- **USDT** — Tether USD (available on Base, Ethereum, and Solana)

Both are stablecoins pegged to the US dollar, so you always know what you're spending.

## Choosing a Network

### Base (Recommended)

- Fees under $0.01 per transaction
- Fast settlement (seconds)
- Best for regular use

### Ethereum

- Higher fees ($1-20+ depending on network congestion)
- Maximum security
- Best for larger transfers

### Solana

- Fees under $0.001
- Near-instant settlement
- Great for high-frequency transactions

## How to Deposit on Fanbase

Fanbase has a built-in deposit flow right in the wallet dialog. Here's how it works:

1. **Open the wallet dialog** by clicking your balance in the header or sidebar
2. **Click "Deposit"**
3. **Pick your method:**
   - **Manual Deposit** — shows a QR code and your wallet address that you can copy. Enter a dollar amount and the native token equivalent updates automatically, so you know exactly how much to send.
   - **Smart Deposit** — powered by Mesh, this connects to 300+ platforms including Binance, Coinbase, MetaMask, Phantom, Trust Wallet, and many more. If you've used Mesh before, your saved payment method shows up for quick repeat deposits.

A notice at the bottom confirms which currency, wallet, and chain you're depositing to. Use the "Change wallet" button if you want to deposit to a different wallet.

## Finding Your Wallet Address

The quickest way to grab your wallet address is through the wallet dialog's wallet selector:

1. **Open the wallet dialog** (click your balance in the header)
2. **Look at the wallet selector** dropdown at the top
3. **Click the copy icon** next to the wallet name — that copies the address to your clipboard

Your EVM address (for Base and Ethereum) is the same across both networks. Your Solana address is separate — make sure you select the right wallet before copying.

## Depositing from Exchanges

The general flow is the same regardless of the exchange: find the token, hit withdraw or send, pick the right network, and paste your Fanbase wallet address.

### From Coinbase

1. **Log into Coinbase** on web or mobile
2. **Go to your USDC** (or USDT) balance
3. **Click "Send"**
4. **Copy your Fanbase wallet address** from the wallet dialog
5. **Paste the address** as the recipient
6. **Select the network:**
   - Choose "Base" for low fees (if available)
   - Choose "Ethereum" for ERC-20 tokens
7. **Enter the amount** and confirm
8. **Funds arrive** in seconds (Base) to minutes (Ethereum)

### From Binance

1. **Log into Binance**
2. **Go to Wallet > Fiat and Spot**
3. **Find your token** (USDC or USDT)
4. **Click "Withdraw"**
5. **Select network:**
   - "ETH/ERC20" for Ethereum
   - "Base" if available
   - "SOL/Solana" for Solana tokens
6. **Paste your Fanbase wallet address**
